Cadwalader was named CMBS Law Firm of the Year at GlobalCapital’s annual US Securitization Awards.

GlobalCapital is a news and data service focused on the international capital markets, providing news alerts, league tables, profiles and special reports for the financial community. The awards recognize the best banks, issuers, investors, law firms and deals in the market as chosen by their clients and peers. Winners are chosen via an online poll of industry-leading professionals.

Cadwalader congratulates three clients who also received GlobalCapital awards. Wells Fargo received an award for CMBS Issuer of the Year. Goldman Sachs won CMBS Deal of the Year for Blackstone Core Industrial Trust, and Freddie Mac won RMBS Deal of the Year for STACR 2015-HQA1, both deals on which the firm advised.

In CMBS, Cadwalader has ranked number one for more than 15 consecutive years as both issuer’s counsel and underwriter’s counsel by Commercial Mortgage Alert.

Cadwalader’s Capital Markets Group is a leading global securitization practice which handles a broad range of public and private securitization and structured finance transactions, including CMBS, CLOs, ABS and other complex securitization and structured finance transactions. The firm’s practice has also played a vital role for clients in the residential mortgage-backed securities market as the non-agency RMBS market continues to rebound. The firm has approximately 140 securitization and structured products attorneys worldwide.
