Hunter White is a partner in Cadwalader’s Capital Markets Group. Hunter’s practice focuses on representing financial institutions and corporate borrowers in connection with complex corporate, finance and structured finance transactions. Hunter primarily advises institutions such as commercial banks, investment banks, credit unions, government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs), managers of hedge funds and private equity funds and corporate organizations in connection with financings across various asset classes and securitization types, including consumer loan asset-backed securitizations, GSE-sponsored residential mortgage-backed securitizations and student loan asset-backed securitizations.
Hunter frequently advises first-time issuers in connection with the establishment of securitization programs, providing counsel from the initial stages of a feasibility analysis through the closing of the first securitization issuance, and providing ongoing counsel as legal and operational questions arise.
Hunter also has experience advising on the structuring, formation and operation of alternative investment products, including hedge funds and private equity funds. Hunter advises investment advisers, fund sponsors, including originators in connection with a captive financing vehicle, and investors.
Hunter is a member of the Cadwalader LIBOR Transition Team that advised clients in all aspects of the LIBOR transition, including managing large scale LIBOR transition projects for clients.
Hunter received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.B.A. in Finance from Texas Christian University. He is admitted to practice in Virginia, Texas and the District of Columbia.
