IP Due Diligence

"[G]reat to bring into play when you need core technical dexterity." - IAM 1000

Our IP lawyers also conduct IP due diligence in corporate transactions and in other contested matters, such as complex bankruptcy proceedings, and anti-counterfeiting and infringement actions. They have particularly extensive experience dealing with the complexities of handling IP rights in bankruptcy proceedings where there has been an acute demand for skilled IP lawyers capable of advising clients in the disposition of highly valuable IP rights in bankruptcy. Of particular note are the intense proceedings involving the bankruptcies of Chrysler and of General Motors where our IP Group teamed up with Cadwalader's other practices to represent the United States Treasury in achieving successful conclusions with unheard-of speed.
