Timothy Ormsby is a senior associate in the Corporate Group of Cadwalader's New York office. His practice is concentrated in the area of corporate law, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, securities law, shareholder activism and defense, corporate finance and corporate governance. Tim represents public and private clients in a wide range of complex transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, restructurings, securities offerings and venture capital transactions.
Tim received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was the Business Manager and a member of the Executive Committee of the Virginia Journal of International Law. Before law school, Tim earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia and spent a summer doing graduate coursework in advanced microeconomic and game theory at the London School of Economics.
