March 18, 2022

Cadwalader Capital Markets attorney Candelario Saldana has been named among the 2022 “40 Best LGBTQ+ Lawyers Under 40”, as part of the annual recognition program hosted by The National LGBTQ+ Bar Association. Each year, the LGBTQ+ Bar recognizes LGBTQ+ legal professionals under the age of 40 and representing a wide range of functions who have “distinguished themselves in their field and have demonstrated a profound commitment to LGBTQ+ equality.”

Saldana is an active participant in many of Cadwalader’s pro bono and CSR initiatives, including as part of the Cadwalader Black & Latino Association (CBLA) Immigration Clinic leadership team. Outside of the firm, Saldana is a member of the National LGBTQ Task Force Board of Directors and the Pauli Murray LGBTQ+ Bar Association Board of Directors, a Charlotte-based bar association, for which he was a founding member and currently serves as vice president.

In 2021, Saldana was appointed to the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) Committee for the North Carolina Bar Association. He is a Co-Chair of the pro bono committee within the SOGI Committee, which will focus on increasing pro bono opportunities, including gender marker and name change clinics throughout the state of North Carolina.
