Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, a leading counselor to global financial institutions and corporations, announced today that it advised Mercuria Energy Group Limited, a global energy and commodities trading company, on the closing of its acquisition of J.P. Morgan’s physical energy and commodities business. Mercuria’s legal team was led by Mark Greenberg, Mercuria’s top lawyer in North America, and Cadwalader partner Ira Schacter (Corporate) along with special counsel Aly El Hamamsy (Corporate).
