Michael Glenn is an associate in Cadwalader’s Global Litigation Group.

Michael has extensive experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in a broad range of crisis management matters, and complex commercial disputes in state and federal courts around the country. His diverse trial and appellate practice includes litigating matters involving securities fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, corporate governance, intellectual property, breach of contract, shareholder derivative actions, and M&A matters, as well as other commercial disputes. He is experienced in all stages of litigation, including pre-suit investigations, fact and expert discovery, dispositive motion practice, trial, and appellate proceedings. Michael has also led multiple internal investigations for several publicly-traded companies and advises companies, boards, special committees and investors in connection with corporate governance matters, including takeover defense and contests for corporate control.

Michael is active in pro bono, including successfully obtaining asylum for Afghan nationals who fled to the United States after the fall of Kabul to the Taliban in 2021. Michael was named by Super Lawyers as a New York Rising Star for Business Litigation in 2025, and was included in the 2024-2026 editions of the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America for his work in Commercial Litigation.

Prior to joining Cadwalader, Michael served as a law clerk to the Honorable Leslie H. Southwick of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the Honorable K. Michael Moore of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He also was a litigation associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP’s Chicago office, and two other international law firms in those firms’ Miami and New York offices.

Prior to entering the practice of law, Michael served for eight years as an active duty officer in the United States Army and was stationed in North Carolina, Virginia, and Puerto Rico. He commanded a forward-deployed ordnance company in the 82nd Sustainment Brigade during one of his two combat deployments across three separate campaign phases of Operation Iraqi Freedom. His military decorations and awards include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, and the Parachutist Badge.

Michael received his J.D., summa cum laude, from Fordham University School of Law in 2014, and his B.A., cum laude, from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina in 2003. During law school, he interned for the Honorable Edward R. Korman of the Eastern District of New York.

Michael is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and several U.S. District Courts including the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and in the States of New York, Florida, and Illinois.
