Despite Doldrums in Deal Activity, a Few Highlights This Year

Steven Davidoff notes in his Deal Professor column that despite stagnate 2013 transaction activity, there were a few notable deals of the year.  Cadwalader advised on three of the top deals he highlights, including: US Airways in its anti-trust settlement with the Department of Justice; Élan in fending off a $6.7 billion hostile bid from Royalty Pharma and; Dell Inc.'s transition to a private company.
