Cadwalader Represents Cross River Bank in $288.5 Million Multifamily Seasoned Loan Securitization

Cadwalader has represented Cross River Bank, a New Jersey State chartered FDIC-insured bank, Equal Housing Lender and a first time issuer in CMBS, in a rare private-label seasoned loan securitization of 54 commercial real estate loans. At the time of securitization, the loans had an aggregate principal balance of $288.5 million and were secured by a portfolio of 67 multifamily properties located across four states.

The Cadwalader team was led by partners Lisa Pauquette and Andrea Nixon, associates Knepley and Martese Johnson and paralegal, Sophie Nass, who advised the Cross River Bank on securitization matters. Bankruptcy support was led by partner Kathryn Borgeson with associate Andrew Greenberg and Tax support was led by partner Gary Silverstein with associate Margaret Leccese.
