Cadwalader Recognized for 'Overall Deal of the Year' and 'ESG/SRI Deal of the Year' in GlobalCapital 2022 European Securitization Awards

Cadwalader has been recognized as part of the “Overall Deal of the Year” and “ESG/SRI Deal of the Year” winning categories in GlobalCapital’s 2022 European Securitization Awards. It also advised on “CLO Deal of the Year.”

“Overall Deal of the Year”: ERM Funding plc Series 2021-1  

  • Cadwalader advised RGA Americas Reinsurance Company, Ltd and RGA UK Services Limited on establishing a UK equity release mortgage-backed securities program and on the issuance of series 2021-1. ERM Funding is the first post-financial crisis publicly-rated full-term UK securitization of equity release mortgages comprising recent-vintage originations. “ESG/SRI Deal of the Year”: North Westerly VII ESG CLO

  • Cadwalader advised Deutsche Bank as arranger of the €400 million North Westerly VII ESG CLO transaction, which complies with ESG investing best practices. The assets securing the transaction consist of a portfolio of corporate loan and bond assets managed by NIBC Bank N.V. The transatlantic Cadwalader team was led by partner Nick Shiren and included partners Adam Blakemore, Michael Sholem, James Frazier and Catherine Richardson; special counsel Alex Collins; and associate Melissa Byun.

  • Cadwalader advised CVC Credit Partners Investment Management Limited as Collateral Manager on the €440 million CVC Cordatus Loan Fund XXII DAC transaction. The assets securing the transaction consist of a portfolio of corporate loan and bond assets managed by CVC Credit Partners Investment Management Limited.
