Cadwalader is shortlisted for a pair of 2020 International Financial Law Review (IFLR) European Awards.
The firm earned a “Deal of the Year” nomination for its representation of Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets as sole arranger and lead manager for Syon, a synthetic securitisation of a UK owner-occupied residential mortgage loan book originated by Bank of Scotland under the Halifax brand that utilized an innovative capital relief structure to achieve its risk transfer aims. The Cadwalader team was led by Capital Markets partner Robert Cannon and includes special counsel Assia Damianova and associate Jake Lindsay.
Cadwalader is also shortlisted for “Structured Finance and Securitization Team of the Year” in recognition of the firm’s work across a broad range of products and asset classes. The team advises private equity funds, alternative finance platforms, collateral managers and corporates, in addition to major international financial institutions.
The award winners will be announced at a ceremony on April 23 in London.
