Saadia Ghazi is a law clerk in the Corporate Group and a member of Cadwalader’s Firm Committee. Her practice is concentrated in the area of corporate law, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, takeover preparedness and defense, shareholder activism and defense, securities law, corporate finance and corporate governance. Saadia represents clients in transactions such as public and private mergers, acquisitions, securities offerings and tender offers.

Saadia received her J.D. from Harvard Law School and her  B.A. from Florida Atlantic University. Saadia also serves as co-chair of the firm’s Women’s Leadership Initiative and is a member of the mentoring committee – an initiative responsive to the needs of high school students in the five boroughs of New York City.

  • Symplicity Corporation in its sale to an affiliate of H.I.G. Capital.
  • The Medicines Company in connection with the public offering of $402.5 million of convertible senior notes, due 2023.
  • Conflicts Committee of the Board of Directors of Dynagas LNG Partners LP in the $240 million purchase from Dynagas Holding Ltd., the partnership's sponsor, of the entity that owns and operates the Lena River, a 2013-built ice class liquefied natural gas carrier.
  • CVC Capital as a founding investor in Fidelis Insurance Holdings Limited, a newly formed Bermuda-based specialty insurance company.
