Louis Vitale, a counsel in Cadwalader's New York office, focuses on securitizations, investment fund financing, and other capital markets and private credit matters.
Louis has wide and deep experience in securitizations and other complex financing transactions, focusing for many years on CLOs of corporate, private credit and commercial real estate debt. He has worked on a number of first-of-their-kind structures, including, recently, a prototype CLO structure for infrastructure loans and the first CRE CLO collateralized exclusively by health care commercial real estate loans and, earlier in his career, various esoteric structures such as whole company securitizations and securitizations of excess residential mortgage servicing spread. Prior to joining Cadwalader in 2025, he worked in the securitizations practices of several global law firms. Louis also previously served as an associate at Cadwalader from 2006 to 2010.
Louis earned a J.D., magna cum laude, and an M.B.A. from Case Western Reserve University; and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Pennsylvania Western University. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
