Kaitlyn O’Malley represents and advises clients in a wide range of complex civil litigation and arbitration proceedings, such as contractual, commercial, employment, and antitrust disputes. Her litigation experience includes engaging in dispositive motion practice, coordinating discovery, assisting with depositions, and preparing for trial.

Kaitlyn also has experience representing clients in internal investigations and government enforcement actions, including those involving the Department of Justice and state attorneys general.

  • Defended an insurance and financial services company and its CEO in widely reported litigation involving civil RICO and lender-liability claims in the Southern District of New York, including a successful appeal to the Second Circuit to reverse a prejudgment asset freeze.
  • Represented the board of directors of a credit union in an internal investigation sparked by a whistleblower complaint concerning alleged regulatory violations.
  • Defended state-chartered bank and bank services provider against charges brought by the Maryland Commissioner of Financial Regulation, resulting in a favorable settlement.
