Joseph Wapelhorst advises major corporations and private individuals in both internal and government investigations as well as commercial litigation. Joseph acts as counsel throughout the various phases of a litigation and investigation, from the initial consideration of risk to the successful resolution of claims.
Joseph has experience in government investigations before the DOJ civil and criminal divisions as well as litigation in state and federal court, particularly in New York State. Joseph has primarily advised clients in the defense contracting, banking, finance, real estate, and international trade sectors.
Joseph is also heavily involved in a number of pro bono matters. In particular, he has done a number of name change clinics for transgender clients looking to have their legal documents updated and asylum proceedings for individuals looking to safely achieve residence in the United States.
