James Hoggett is a special counsel in the Finance Group in Cadwalader's London office.
He focuses on fund finance, advising both lenders and GPs on a wide range of products, including subscription lines, asset-backed and hybrid facilities, as well as GP support and co-invest structures. James’ experience covers all asset classes and includes acting on several multibillion dollar facilities to leading primary and secondary funds.
James is recognised by Chambers UK 2024 in the Banking & Finance: Fund Finance category. In the 2022 Guide he was described as "shining, rising star at Cadwalader - very quick and very smart". James is also recognised as a key lawyer in Fund Finance by Legal 500 UK.
James received his B.A. (Hons) from the University of Bristol, graduated from Nottingham Law School and completed his LPC from The College of Law. James is admitted to practice in England and Wales.
