Elena Bernal is an associate in Cadwalader’s London office.

Elena focuses her practice on structured finance and capital markets transactions. She advises arrangers and financial institutions on a wide range of structured finance and cross border transactions, including securitisations of residential mortgages, auto loans and consumer loans, warehouse facilities and private placements. In addition, Elena has extensive debt capital markets experience, including EMTN programmes and standalone Eurobond issuances, liability management transactions, debt restructurings, hybrid instruments and emerging markets issuances.

In 2015, Elena was seconded to the structured products team at Goldman Sachs. In 2013, she was seconded to the structured capital markets team in Lloyds Bank where she was involved in securitisations of various asset classes and consent solicitations. Elena was also seconded to Merrill Lynch’s DCM transaction management team in 2007.

Elena is admitted to practice in England and Wales and in California.
