Claudia Martinez advises issuers, underwriters, loan sellers, and other market participants on commercial real estate securitization and structured finance transactions, with a focus on the private and public offerings of commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS).
Claudia represents clients in complex securitization and financing transactions involving commercial real estate mortgage loan pools backed by multifamily, industrial, hospitality, office, and retail assets. Her experience includes transaction structuring, due diligence, disclosure review, and drafting transaction documents across multi-party financing transactions. Prior to joining Cadwalader, Claudia represented the City of New York in billion-dollar bond issuances and worked on a range of public finance transactions, including credit and liquidity facilities and not-for-profit funding agreement transactions.
Alongside her transactional practice, Claudia maintains an active pro bono practice assisting low-income individuals with immigration and visa-related matters.
