Two Cadwalader Partners Are Selected as Leaders by United States Lawyer Rankings

April 27, 2009

Two partners of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, one of the world’s leading international law firms, were named among the top-10 attorneys in their fields by United States Lawyer Rankings: The Nation’s Top Lawyers – 2009 Edition.

The publication found David S. Miller to be the top-ranked tax practitioner in the country, while Christopher A. Hughes, Chair of Cadwalader’s Intellectual Property Group, was placed in the sixth position for intellectual property lawyers.

“David and Chris are talented and innovative practitioners, and their inclusion in United States Lawyer Rankings is well deserved,” said Chris White, Cadwalader’s Chairman. “Their dedication to their clients reflects the firm’s overriding goal of providing business and legal solutions that meet the need of our clients.”

United States Lawyer Rankings was established by a consortium of U.S. corporations as a guide to identify those lawyers who have consistently provided the highest degree of legal representation. The publication compiles its lists based on the results of confidential questionnaires by attorneys, judges, and members of senior management at large corporate and institutional clients. Attorneys are not allowed to nominate themselves, and lawyers and staff are not allowed to put forward anyone from their own firms.
