Cadwalader partners Dorothy Auth, Karen Dyer, Ellen Holloman and Bonnie Neuman have been named to the 2022 Crain’s New York Business “Notable Women in Law” list.

This year’s honorees include 119 women attorneys who were “chosen not only for their skills and accomplishments in the courtroom, but for their leadership outside of it.”

Crain’s New York wrote that Cadwalader partner and Intellectual Property practice head Dorothy Auth’s “road to the top of the legal profession in intellectual property is unique,” referencing that her Ph.D. in biochemistry and her J.D., along with 30 years of experience in complex patent litigation, have helped establish her authority, as recognized in numerous industry publications.

In profiling Cadwalader Global Litigation partner Karen Dyer, Crain’s referenced her “years representing Fortune 500 corporations and significant multibillion-dollar companies,” involving “some of the most complex and high-dollar-value commercial cases in the country.” The publication also acknowledged her multiple industry recognitions and active pro bono work.

Ellen Holloman, also a partner in the firm’s Global Litigation group, was highlighted for her “extensive experience in securities litigation”, and for regularly advising clients in connection with corporate governance disputes and proxy contests, “notably as one of the few Black women attorneys in this field.” Crain’s further mentioned Holloman’s thought leadership within the area of environment, social and governance (ESG) and her award-winning written work on corporate governance and workplace issues, including diversity, inclusion and sexual harassment.

Cadwalader Real Estate Finance practice head Bonnie Neuman is “a first phone call for many of New York’s leading real estate financiers,” said Crain’s, citing her client base as including “the largest lenders in real estate,” and the multi-billion-dollar loans on which she advises. The publication also noted her efforts to advance the careers of women and diverse attorneys.
