Several London-based lawyers of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, one of the world’s leading legal advisors to financial institutions and corporations, were named amongst the leading lawyers in their respective areas in the 2013 edition of Chambers UK, a guide to the legal profession.
Adam Blakemore, a Tax partner, was described as an “unstuffy and accessible” lawyer who offers “a well-rounded and highly informed approach to matters” and “breadth of knowledge.”
Stephen Day was recognised in Capital Markets (Structured Finance, Securitisation and Derivatives) as “a consensus builder” who is “focused on quality outcomes.” Also in Capital Markets, Angus Duncan earned kudos for his expertise in advising structuring agents of catastrophe bonds for clients, including Aon Benfield Securities.
Richard Nevins, named in Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency, was noted for an ability to impress clients with his “charisma and knowledge” and for advisory work in the restructuring of SEAT Pagine Gialle. Yushan Ng, who also received widespread praise from interviewees in the area of Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency, was described as “a superb practitioner,” who “during an incredibly difficult deal drove the deal forward.”
