Recognition for the firm’s mortgage-backed and asset-backed securities work
Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, a leading counselor to global financial institutions and corporations, is ranked number one as both issuer’s counsel and underwriter’s counsel in the Mortgage-Backed Securities category in The American Lawyer magazine’s 2013 Corporate Scorecard issue.
The firm served as issuer’s counsel on 28 issues, representing more than $19 billion in value, and as underwriter’s counsel on 19 issues, representing more than $10 billion. It is the second consecutive year that Cadwalader has held the top spot in both sides of the Mortgage-Backed Securities category. In addition, in the Asset-Backed Securities category, Cadwalader is ranked fifth as both issuer’s counsel and underwriter’s counsel, advising on 15 and 28 transactions, respectively.
