Cadwalader’s Jason Halper Appointed to Volunteers of Legal Service Board of Directors

Cadwalader Global Litigation chair Jason Halper has been appointed to the Volunteers of Legal Service (VOLS) board of directors. Founded as a nonprofit organization in 1984, VOLS leverages the good will, resources and talents of New York City’s leading law firms to provide legal assistance to low-income New Yorkers.

Halper is a recognized leader in the fields of financial services and securities law and corporate governance/M&A. His commitment to community service work includes serving on the executive committee, and as a past chair, of the New York/New Jersey Regional Board of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). In 2019, he received the ADL’s Edward Brodsky Founder’s Award. Halper also serves on the board of directors of the Legal Aid Society and on the executive board of the GlamourGals Foundation. As chair of Cadwalader’s Pro Bono Advisory Committee and a partner-sponsor of the Cadwalader Black and Latin Association Immigration Clinic, Halper oversees the firm’s associates on a wide range of pro bono matters.
