Cadwalader’s Anna Glick Selected for 2023 ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ by New York Law Journal

October 02, 2023

Cadwalader Capital Markets senior counsel Anna Glick has been selected for a 2023 “Lifetime Achievement Award” by the New York Law Journal.

As NYLJ notes, “This award isn’t just for the lawyer who has an occasional outstanding year – it goes to the professionals who put in the work, year after year, and have made a significant impact on the legal community and the practice of law.”

As an iconic practitioner in the field of securitization, Glick has 40 years of experience in this highly sophisticated area of finance. A true trailblazer, she started in multiclass securitization at its inception, at a time when very few women were involved in the field.

Over a career spanning more than three decades, Glick represents issuers, underwriters, institutional investors and servicers active in the primary and secondary capital markets. She has diverse experience in structured mortgage finance, having participated in numerous public and private transactions involving the issuance of securities in both debt and equity form. She has also represented issuers/underwriters in billions of dollars of securities offerings, many of which include novel structures and features.

At Cadwalader, Glick was one of the first women to serve on the firm’s Management Committee and to conceive and found the firm’s first women’s leadership group. She is a strong champion for women through the CRE Finance Council (CREFC), the trade association for the $4.4 trillion commercial real estate finance industry. Through her seat on the CREFC Women’s Network Advisory Board, she has taken a leading role in hosting and sponsoring the Women’s Network Symposium, an event that provides a structured platform dedicated to women’s initiatives and brings together hundreds of industry professionals.

Glick has been consistently recognized for her outstanding work and dedication to law. She has been ranked by Chambers and Partners for more than 20 years, was named “Woman of the Year” by CREFC in 2022 and received an additional “Lifetime Achievement Award” in 2021 as part of Corporate Counsel’s annual Women, Influence & Power in Law awards.

Glick has continually raised the bar in her own practice of real estate securitization, and her ongoing client work and industry engagements have without question contributed to Cadwalader’s decades-long reputation for excellence in this space. Beyond the walls of Cadwalader, Glick has helped her clients succeed time and again, while helping guide and mentor up-and-coming women who share in the same aspirations to build fulfilling, successful and well-rounded careers.

Glick and other NYLJ honorees will be recognized during the New York Legal Awards on Oct. 4th at Pier Sixty, located at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan.
