Cadwalader UK Attorneys Receive Women, Influence & Power in Law UK Awards 2021

Cadwalader Fund Finance partner Samantha Hutchinson, Capital Markets partner Suzanne Bell, and Capital Markets associates Rebecca Chambers and Cassandra Nelson-Williams are recipients of Law.com International and Legal Week’s 2021 Women, Influence & Power in Law (WIPL) UK Awards.

The awards honor top women lawyers, both in law firms and in-house legal departments, for their contributions to the legal profession over the past year. WIPL honorees will be recognized during an awards ceremony on March 10, as part of the WIPL UK Virtual Summit.

Hutchinson and Bell were awarded in the “Thought Leadership” category, which recognizes women who have led and inspired teams, demonstrating the power of true leadership.

Chambers and Nelson-Williams were awarded in the “Rising Star in Diversity Change” category, which recognizes women under 35 who have led diversity initiatives within their law firms.

Hutchinson is a partner in the Finance Group in Cadwalader’s London office. She advises financial institutions and private markets managers on the full range of fund finance products across all asset classes, including subscription lines, primary and secondary leverage and liquidity lines, GP and executive financings and co-invest facilities delivered via a number of different structures including framework and umbrella facilities. Hutchinson is a member of Cadwalader’s London Women’s Network and is also a member of the Women’s Law Network, which is a global voice committed to promote the empowerment of women in the legal world.

Bell is a partner in the Capital Markets Group in Cadwalader's London office. She advises leading financial institutions and corporations in connection with a wide range of domestic, European and International structured finance and capital markets transactions. Her experience includes structuring and documenting commercial paper conduits, structured investment vehicles, and public and private securitisations of a range of asset classes, with particular focus on credit card receivables, auto loans and leases and trade receivables. Bell is a member of Cadwalader’s London Women’s Network.

Chambers focuses her practice on capital markets, with an emphasis on CLOs, while Nelson-Williams advises leading investment banks, arrangers and collateral managers in CLO transactions and loan warehouse facilities. They are both members of Cadwalader’s London Women’s Network and Chambers is a sitting member of the firm’s London Associate and Special Counsel Committees.
