The Cadwalader LGBT Network is hosting a Pride Month event, The Short Honeymoon: LGBT Issues and Justice in 2016, featuring James Esseks, Director of the ACLU’s LGBT & HIV Project. Essex, who has played an integral role in marriage quality and transgender discrimination cases across the country, will discuss new state laws and ordinances that seek to restrict transgender access to restroom facilities, remove local legal protections for LGBT people, excuse magistrates from performing same sex marriages and protect businesses that refuse to serve LGBT customers.

The event will take place at Cadwalader’s headquarters, 200 Liberty Street in New York, on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 6:00 pm.
