2013 Edition of The Best Lawyers In America Names Four from Cadwalader as “Lawyers of the Year”

October 23, 2012

Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, one of the world’s leading advisors to corporations and financial institutions, is pleased to announce that the 2013 edition of The Best Lawyers in America named four of the firm’s attorneys as “Lawyers of the Year.” This recognition is given to only a single lawyer in a practice area and metropolitan area, making the accolade particularly significant.

In addition to more than 45 Cadwalader attorneys selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America based on a rigorous peer-review process , those honored as “Lawyers of the Year” were selected based on particularly impressive voting averages received during the peer-review assessments. Receiving this designation reflects the high level of respect a lawyer has earned among other leading lawyers in the same communities and the same practice areas for their abilities, their professionalism, and their integrity. They are:

  • in Washington, DC, Gregory Mocek was named Lawyer of the Year in the area of Derivatives and Futures Law;
  • in Charlotte, NC, Stuart Goldstein was named Lawyer of the Year in the area of Securitization and Structured Finance Law and Scott Cammarn was named Lawyer of the Year in the area of Banking and Finance Law; and
  • in New York, NY, Gregory Markel was named Lawyer of the Year in the area of Litigation – Mergers & Acquisitions.
