Joseph Moreno Honored For His Service

Joseph Moreno, a special counsel in Cadwalader's White Collar Defense and Investigations Group, received the Distinguished Veteran Alumni Award, bestowed jointly by the St. John’s School of Law's Alumni Association Armed Forces Chapter and the Armed Forces Society. The award was presented at a reception at St. John’s University.

A former federal prosecutor with the U.S. Department of Justice’s National Security Division, Joseph Moreno represents clients in complex white collar matters in federal court and in connection with investigations by the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and other federal and state law enforcement and regulatory agencies. A decorated combat veteran, Moreno is a Major in the United States Army Reserve and has served on active duty as a military prosecutor in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. In 2004, he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his service in Iraq.
