Awards Ceremony also Recognizes Cadwalader Senior Associate as a ‘Rising Star’
Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP (Cadwalader), a leading counselor to global financial institutions and corporations, was recognized at the 2012 Global Derivatives Awards on September 19 in London. The awards recognize individuals, companies and deals that have impacted the global derivatives market. Cadwalader was awarded ‘Law Firm of the Year.’ Additionally, Doug Donahue, a senior associate in the Financial Services Department, was named one of the ‘2012 Rising Stars of Derivatives.’

Earlier this year, the Financial Services Department was recognized by IFLR as the “2012 IFLR Americas Securitization and Structured Finance Team of the Year.” In addition, they were honored with the “2012 IFLR Americas Securitization and Structured Finance Deal of the Year” for their representation of BNP Paribas in its cross-border deal with US-based Janus Capital Group.
Under the direction of Steven Lofchie and Richard Schetman, Cadwalader’s Financial Services Department provides catered regulatory and enforcement expertise with derivatives and fund formation transactional practices. Among its other industry leading projects, Cadwalader’s Financial Services team is currently representing the International Swaps & Derivatives Association (ISDA) on the Dodd-Frank protocol.

Doug Donahue’s practice focuses on credit derivatives, fixed income derivatives, and structured financial products. He represents the foremost dealers, banks, and other financial institutions in connection with the development, structuring, negotiation and documentation of a wide variety of financial products, including interest rate swaps, commodity swaps, currency swaps, credit derivatives, total return swaps, and other structured financial products.
Doug received his J.D. from New York University School of Law and his B.S. from St. Francis College.
