Human Resources and Benefits Assistant

The Human Resources and Benefits Assistant will provide administrative support to HR and Benefits Team.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new administrative staff employees, including review of firm policies, benefits plans and other programs, as well as completion of required forms.
  • Assist with administrative staff and paralegal recruitment, including job postings, resume screening and interview scheduling.
  • Support on department initiatives including, but not limited to, Staff Appreciation, Holiday Party, Wellness Programs.
  • Support the administration of annual benefits open enrollment.
  • Process status changes and departures for administrative staff employees.
  • Assist with monthly budget review and reconciliation.
  • Process vendor bills and other HR and benefits payments.
  • Act as backup for data entry in the Firm’s HR system.
  • Assist with organizing departmental meeting and program logistics including scheduling, securing meeting rooms, coordinating meeting room set-up and materials, and technical trouble-shooting.
  • Create and maintain employee files and handle all departmental filing.
  • Respond to requests for employment verifications.
  • Monitor and respond to department email.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the Human Resources Director and other members of the team, as needed.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • 1+ year of office experience.

 

 

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $55,000 to $60,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location from which the applicant will be performing the job.
