Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant works closely with the Accounting Team, reporting to the Accounting Manager. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cash reconciliations.
  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
  • Provide monthly balance sheet reconciliations for both asset and liability accounts.
  • Liaise with the Accounts Payable team to ensure that vouchers are recorded properly, prepare reclasses as needed.
  • Provide support for the financial statements.
  • Provide information as needed for the annual financial statement audit.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all financial matters exposed to during the course of performing job duties.

 Qualifications/Skills/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college/university (preferably in Accounting or Finance); minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills for prioritizing workload.
  • Capacity to work in a team setting and perform tasks/projects independently.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office suite, including advanced Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, subtotaling, accessing external data sources etc.).

 

 

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location from which the applicant will be performing the job.
