Stacy A. Valdez is a law clerk in the Corporate Group in Cadwalader’s New York office. Stacy’s practice is concentrated in the area of corporate law, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, shareholder activism and defense, corporate finance and corporate governance. She represents clients in a wide range of complex transactional matters, including public and private mergers and acquisitions and proxy contests.
Prior to joining Cadwalader, Stacy was a Process Management Specialist at Prudential Financial, working in the company’s Corporate Employee Benefits department.
Stacy received her J.D. from Rutgers Law School, where she was a member of the Rutgers Minority Student Program and served as an Associate Editor of the Rutgers Law Record, Student Fellow for the Rutgers Center for Corporate Law and Governance, and Clinical Associate for the Rutgers Law School Entrepreneurship Clinic. She also served as a judicial extern at the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Stacy earned her B.S. in Business Management from Rutgers Business School.
