Cadwalader has launched Health Care Fraud Focus (, a blog that provides insight and analysis on the latest developments in False Claims Act (FCA) and other civil and criminal health care fraud, regulatory compliance, and litigation and investigations.

“Our goal is to make Health Care Fraud Focus a key industry news source,” said Cadwalader’s Anne Tompkins. “We will be informing and apprising general counsel and health care administrators about current trends, court decisions and regulatory changes that are shaping the industry.”

Tompkins, a partner in Cadwalader's Charlotte and Washington, D.C., offices, represents companies and their officers and directors in criminal, civil and administrative investigations. She is a former U.S. attorney for the Western District of North Carolina.

Health Care Fraud Focus is a channel for sharing our experience and insight,” said  Brian McGovern, a partner in New York and the blog’s co-creator. "We address current developments in the context of the broad spectrum of health care law, providing both up-to-the-minute 'take aways' as well as industry trends that we feel are essential in the health care regulatory environment."

McGovern represents health care and not-for-profit clients on a broad range of issues, including regulatory compliance, government audits and investigations, contract negotiations, and administrative hearings and litigation in state and federal courts.

Cadwalader’s Health Care Group serves as counsel to a wide array of clients, including hospitals, home care and long-term care providers, HMOs and managed care organizations, assisted living providers and other entities, with respect to major transactions, corporate governance, compliance matters, and litigation proceedings.
