Kathryn Borgeson’s practice is concentrated in the areas of bankruptcy and financial restructuring. Kathryn has represented creditors, debtors and lenders in bankruptcy proceedings and out-of-court restructurings across a broad range of industries, including the financial, automotive and energy industries. She has represented numerous creditors in the Lehman Brothers bankruptcies, and regularly advises financial institutions on trading contract and derivative issues. She also advises lenders in connection with bankruptcy-remote commercial mortgage loan originations, commercial mortgage-backed securitizations, and asset-backed securitizations.
Kathryn received her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, with honors, where she served as a member of The Federal Circuit Bar Journal. She earned her B.B.A. in Finance from Villanova University. She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and the State of Maryland.
