Fran Linares has more than 20 years of experience in capital markets transactions, with particular emphasis in transactions involving derivatives, structured funds, synthetic structured products and other types of structured products. Fran has represented issuers, underwriters, purchasers of structured securities, swap counterparties, and other financial institutions in connection with the development, negotiation, and documentation of a wide variety of financial transactions. He also has been recognized in the 2017-2020 editions of The Best Lawyers in America in the area of derivatives.
Previously, Fran was an Assistant General Counsel with the Legal Division of Wachovia Corporation, where he was responsible for various derivatives matters, including international derivatives and foreign exchange transactions.
Fran received his J.D. from New York University School of Law and his B.S. from the United States Military Academy. He is admitted to practice in the States of New York and North Carolina.
