Aaron Benjamin’s practice is focused on the representation of banks and financial institutions as lenders and repurchase buyers in fixed income transactions of all types, with a specialization in warehouse transactions secured by commercial and residential real estate loans.
Aaron has advised clients on innovative financing structures for a wide variety of pooled lending products, including repurchase transactions and other debt financing structures secured by senior and junior commercial and residential real estate loans, reverse mortgage loans, home equity lines of credit (HELOCs), commercial and residential mortgage-backed securities, commercial CLO securities, participation interests, mezzanine loans, preferred equity interests and other asset-backed lending products. He has experience with complex structures including pooled lending of construction loans, non-performing loan, asset-backed securities and workouts of distressed assets financed under warehouse finance facilities.
Aaron received his J.D. from the University of Toronto Law School and his undergraduate degree, with high honors, from Carleton University.
He is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
