On the issue of banks keeping their US branches open in light of the Volcker Rule, Scott Cammarn stated, “There are some banks that are specifically choosing not to open a branch in the US because they are afraid of what will happen to it. People are very cognisant that there is now a real downside to establishing a branch in the US – and that downside is the Volcker Rule.”
