Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, a leading advisor to corporations and financial institutions, is ranked among the most innovative law firms in the 2013 Financial Times U.S. Innovative Lawyers report.

The firm’s Cadwalader Cabinet, a financial regulatory web-based platform, in particular was “Commended” in the Business of Law category for its innovative approach to creating value for clients, and described as “an extensive online resource combining financial regulation know-how, references and tools.”

“The content and functionality presented in the Cabinet is structured with practicing market professionals in mind,” said Steven Lofchie, co-chair of Cadwalader’s Financial Services department and developer of the Cabinet. “The tools are designed to help compliance officers address the burgeoning laws and regulations in the financial sector. We currently communicate with more than 10,000 financial services practitioners with a daily e-mail linked to our content.”

The Cadwalader Cabinet provides a depth and scope of resources unavailable through commercial sources, including the principal working tools and guidelines required by market professionals in their practice. The website also hosts tens of thousands of additional documents, including statutes, rules, no-action letters, releases, case law and relevant legislation.

About the FT Innovative Lawyers Report

In developing the Innovative Lawyers report, the FT and its research partner, RSG Consulting, employ a bespoke methodology to rank lawyers on innovation, eschewing traditional metrics, such as fees and profits, as the measure of success. The 2013 ranking was the most competitive to date, with nearly 400 submissions received from 60 of the top law firms in the United States. Each submission was validated through client and expert interviews by RSG Consulting.
