The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (the “Act”) was signed into law by President Obama on July 21, 2010. Section 943 of the Act requires the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”) to prescribe regulations in the use of representations and warranties in the market for asset-backed securities.
