Email On July 15, 2010, the Senate voted in favor of adopting the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (the “Act”). The Act is far reaching in scope and represents the culmination of months of debate and intense lobbying. The Act was precipitated by the financial crisis that began in 2007 and, therefore, its primary goal is to prevent a recurrence. The focus of this Memorandum is Title V – “Insurance” – of the Act. https://www.cadwalader.com/resources/clients-friends-memos/insurance-reforms-under-the-dodd-frank-wall-street-reform-and-consumer-protection-act
