Another Successful Justice Served Campaign: Making a Difference for New Yorkers

Tomorrow will mark the end of this year’s Justice Served campaign, the 7th annual six-week campaign within the New York City legal community in support of Food Bank For New York City.

This year’s campaign, which began on February 1, has already raised enough money to provide 440,000 meals, and it is likely that number will go up significantly with the last-minute push for donations.

Founded with the help of our former partner Jack Fritts, Food Bank For New York City has been the city's leading hunger-relief organization for 38 years. Through the pandemic, Food Bank distributed more than 121 million meals to address the unprecedented need in our city. The uncertainty and anxiety of COVID-19 continue to impact this vulnerable population. Food Bank supports over 1.5 million New Yorkers per year in all five boroughs.

Since it was established, the Justice Served campaign has raised funds for over 3.8 million meals. There is still time to support this year’s campaign by visiting our Firm’s giving page here.

Cadwalader’s long-standing support of Food Bank is one of the hallmarks of our commitment to social justice— whether through pro bono legal services or through volunteerism.
