The Firm is proud to be one of the founding members of the Justice Served hunger relief campaign, an important initiative of Food Bank For New York City.
Conceived by partner Lary Stromfeld in 2015, Justice Served has become a vital campaign for the New York legal industry, with Lary continuing to chair it since its inception. We are thrilled to announce that, as we celebrate the campaign’s 10th anniversary, partner Leah Edelboim will join the newly formed Justice Served Steering Committee to help guide the initiative into its next decade.
Our longstanding relationship with Food Bank For New York City dates back to our former chairman and managing partner, the late Jack Fritts, who played a key role in the founding and success of the organization. He incorporated Food Bank in 1983 and served in various board positions throughout the years. In 2018, Food Bank honored his legacy by dedicating its Bronx warehouse in his name—the Jack Fritts Food Distribution Center.
Since its founding, Justice Served has provided over 6.3 million meals to food-insecure New Yorkers. From February 10 through March 21, more than 40 New York law firms and legal departments are participating in this year's campaign to support the essential work of Food Bank For New York City.
Outside of New York, the Firm supports food banks in our local communities, such as Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina in Charlotte, Food Bank Aid in London, and Martha’s Table in Washington, DC.
