Robert O. Link Jr.

Robert Link is the Managing Partner of Cadwalader and oversees the firm's London and Beijing offices.

After practicing in Atlanta and with another New York law firm, Mr. Link joined Cadwalader in 1987, becoming a partner in 1990. In addition to his responsibilities as Managing Partner of the firm, a role he assumed in 1994, he formerly served as the Chairman of the firm's acclaimed Capital Markets Department, a group that has played a pivotal role in the development of the structured finance and securitization markets since their inception.  Under his stewardship, Cadwalader successfully redefined itself as a global finance law firm that focuses on high-value sophisticated transactional, litigation, and regulatory needs of the world's leading financial institutions.  The firm added numerous internationally-recognized attorneys who are leaders in their fields, consistently achieved recognition as a leader in corporate finance transactions, and expanded around the globe -- to Charlotte, London, and Beijing.

Mr. Link graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in accounting, with highest honors, and earned his M.B.A. and J.D. at the University of Tennessee. He has been recognized as a leading lawyer in his field by IFLR 1000. He was named to the Order of the Coif at the College of Law and was a multiple recipient of American Jurisprudence awards.   He is admitted to practice in Tennessee, Georgia, and New York.

In addition to his responsibilities at the firm, Mr. Link is a member of the New York State Bar Association.  He sits on the board of directors of The Legal Aid Society and of Wall Street Rising, an organization formed in the aftermath of the events of 9/11 to revitalize the Wall Street Financial District, as well as serves on the Advisory Council to the Dean of the College of Business Administration at the University of Tennessee.
