Nelli Doroshkin is an associate in Cadwalader’s Global Litigation Group and focuses on energy litigation, transactions, and regulatory matters. She represents oil and natural gas producers and shippers and natural gas and electric utilities in enforcement and administrative proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and in appellate proceedings in federal courts.
Nelli has assisted clients in pipeline safety matters, rulemaking proceedings at FERC, and in developing energy compliance training. She has experience in administrative litigation involving rates and RTO/ISO pricing zones and in appellate litigation on electric capacity markets and electric transmission rates.
Prior to joining Cadwalader, Nelli was an associate in another major firm’s energy practice group and associate counsel for the New York Public Service Commission. She is an active member of the Energy Bar Association.
Nelli received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was a notes editor of the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics, and a B.A., cum laude, from Harvard College. She is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the District of Columbia and before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second and District of Columbia Circuits.
