Cadwalader Wins Decade Award

December 08, 2009

Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, one of the world’s leading law firms, was named as a recipient of a “Decade Award” by the Burton Awards, a nonprofit program run in association with the Library of Congress that promotes the use of clear and concise language in legal writing. Twenty law firms were selected based on the number of Burton Awards they have received during the past ten years.

The Burton Awards, funded by the Burton Foundation, is devoted to recognizing and rewarding significant achievement in the legal profession. Since its inception in 1999 the organization has focused primarily on the refinement and enrichment of legal writing.

The Burton Awards, which celebrates its eleventh year in 2010, will be held on June 14 at the Library of Congress, one of the most celebrated and distinguished libraries in the world, in Washington D.C.
