February 05, 2010

Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, one of the world’s leading international law firms, has been nominated as a finalist for Law Firm of the Year by The M&A Advisor. The winner will be announced at the 4th Annual Turnaround Awards on March 22 in Palm Beach, Fla.

The M&A Advisor Turnaround Awards recognize excellence in the restructuring and turnaround marketplace and honor the top performers throughout the industry in a wide range of categories. Cadwalader’s nod came in recognition of work on numerous high-profile matters this past year, including acting as lead counsel to the United States Treasury Department Presidential Auto Task Force with respect to the restructuring of Chrysler and General Motor, serving as debtor’s counsel to Lyondell Chemical Company, working on behalf of the United States Treasury Department in the restructuring of CIT, and representing Citigroup Inc. in the chapter 11 bankruptcy case of Lehman Brothers Holding Inc.

“I am proud that our work has again been recognized by The M&A Advisor,” said Chris White, Cadwalader’s Chairman. “We pride ourselves on providing our clients with perceptive and effective legal counsel and this nomination is evidence that the market recognizes our success in doing so.”
