Cadwalader Dominates U.S. CMBS 1st Half 2017 Rankings Once Again

Cadwalader achieved a dominant position in the Commercial Mortgage Alert U.S. CMBS rankings once again, outdistancing competitor firms by a large margin for the first half of 2017 on both the issuer and underwriter counsel sides.

The rankings show the firm in first place representing issuers, more than doubling the number of deals as the next seven firms combined. The firm advised on 38 deals, valued at nearly $22 billion. Compared with the first half of 2016, the firm completed one more deal and had cumulative value more than $4 billion above a year ago.

On the underwriters’ side, the firm advised on 30 of 61 reported deals. Cadwalader's 30 deals were worth over $14 billion and represent significant increases over 1st half 2016 transactions (26 deals, just under $10 billion in value).
