The majority of our entry-level attorneys come to us through our summer program. Our recruiting team, including attorneys at all levels of experience, visits leading law schools across the United States in search of driven, bright, versatile, and personable individuals who want to learn and work at a premier law firm.
In on-campus interviews, we look at academic achievements as well as communication skills and professionalism. Should the initial interview go well, we’ll invite you to visit a Cadwalader office for more extensive meetings with additional attorneys and members of our recruitment department.
At callbacks, attorneys will be interested in learning more about your motivation, analytical thinking, and judgment. Students invited for this full round of interviews should bring a resume and transcript and expect to spend two to three hours meeting partners, associates, and representatives from the Legal Recruitment staff. Students interviewing with our Washington office should also bring a writing sample.

Second-year students and third-years in JD/ MBA programs will be considered in early August.
Travel and Accommodations
Prospective summer associates requiring hotel and train or airfare arrangements to attend callback interviews may contact the Lawyers' Travel Service directly at 212 412 7122 between 9:00am and 6:00pm, Monday–Friday. Hotel (room and tax only) and airfare expenses reserved through our travel service will be billed directly to the firm. Cadwalader will share travel expenses with other firms at which an applicant is interviewing on the same trip.
Offers will be made following the callback interviews for summer associate positions in our New York, Charlotte, Houston or Washington D.C. offices.
