Hiring Practices

Every exceptional legal talent has an equal opportunity, both by design and by law. At Cadwalader, there is no discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, marital status, status in any group protected by law, or any other factor unrelated to job requirements.

Most of our first-year associates have participated in Cadwalader's summer program. However, when the firm's hiring needs are not met through the summer program, Cadwalader hires third-year law school students to complete the incoming class.

Students interviewing for summer associate positions at Cadwalader's offices should bring a resume, an official transcript, and a writing sample, and expect to spend two to three hours meeting with partners, associates, and representatives from the recruitment staff. First-year associate positions may involve a second round of interviews.
