Cadwalader opened an office in Brussels in 2011, extending our global practice into the capital of the European Union. From our offices alongside the institutions of the EU, we provide leading advice on all aspects of EU law and policy. Our focus in particular is on antitrust: merger clearances, market dominance, cartel defense and state aid, spanning a wide range of industry sectors. We represent clients before the Directorate-General for Competition, in the European Courts in Luxembourg, and before the competition authorities of the EU Member States. Based on the frequency of our contacts with these enforcers and policymakers, we counsel clients on developments in EU law and practice.
